DiSHWATTA

DiSHWATTA is a transatlantic Drum & Bass project that pushes the boundaries of deep, atmospheric, and high-energy sound.  Drawing from the raw essence of jungle and modern DnB, they simultaneously blend deep basslines, intricate breakbeats, and lush textures.

Hailing from the underground scenes of Chicago, USA, and Suffolk, UK, DiSHWATTA perform on both sides of the Atlantic.

The music is clearly influenced by classic UK rave culture and the futuristic sonic landscapes of Chicago’s electronic underground.  DiSHWATTA fuses old-school grit with forward-thinking production. From heavy-hitting club anthems to hypnotic, experimental rollers, the project captures the true spirit of global bass music.

The debut track, ‘Cobra Mist’

Part of a remote British military facility off the coast of Suffolk, Orford Ness is regarded as the UK’s equivalent of Area 51.

Cobra Mist was a top secret Anglo-American experimental radar station, significantly fuelling decades of speculation, conspiracy theories, and intrigue.  Orford Ness sits close to Rendlesham Forest, home to of one of the most famous UFO encounters in history.

Often referred to as ‘Britain’s Roswell’ since December 1980 when multiple U.S. military personnel stationed at RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters reported witnessing unexplained lights, strange flying objects, and bizarre phenomena deep within the forest.

The proximity of Cobra Mist to this internationally recognised UFO hotspot has also fuelled much speculation.  The facility may have played a role in classified aerial experiments, advanced propulsion research, or even secret communications with unidentified craft.
